Constanța International Competition

Supporting high achievement in the arts in Constanța!

Constanța International Competition – Festival for Young Pianists, is an international piano competition which began in 2018 and is dedicated to supporting classical music and emerging young musicians. The festival is quickly establishing a reputation as an important and prestigious event in the musical calendar.

The competition is open to young pianists between the ages of seven and twenty three, and welcomes people from all nationalities and ethnicities, regardless of whether they study piano privately or in a specialist school, or play professionally or as a hobby.

The festival is organised by the Nihil Sine Arte Association in partnership with Regina Maria National College of Arts and Oleg Danovski Opera and Ballet Theatre, Constanța.

The first edition of the competition attracted a large number of young pianists from all over Romania and from Moldova. The standard of performance was high and the event was well received: it was clear that the festival met a real cultural need in the city of Constanța and beyond.

Subsequent editions brought a quick expansion of the international reach of the competition. We are proud to have featured performances by young pianists from the USA, the UK, Armenia, Australia, Azerbaijan, Belgium, the Czech Republic, China, France, Indonesia, Macedonia, Malaysia, Moldova, Poland, Russia, Slovakia, Thailand, Turkey, Ukraine, and Vietnam.

This is more than just a piano competition – it is also a music festival. Every edition has featured numerous artistic and educational events, alongside the competition rounds.
